What is executive coaching?
Executive coaching is an intensive, confidential one-to-one process for senior leaders. In Switzerland, where leadership often takes place in internationally shaped companies and multilingual teams, this form of accompaniment is particularly valuable. It is not training and not a seminar — it is a reflective development process focused directly on your specific situation.
As an executive coach, I work with CEOs, managing directors, supervisory board members and leadership teams across Central Switzerland, Zurich, Basel and the DACH region. The focus is on real impact: clear decisions, sovereign leadership, sustainable results.

My work combines business thinking (graduate in Business Administration) with over 15 years of experience accompanying executives. I understand the loneliness of leadership, the dynamics of boardrooms and the reality of transformations from direct experience.

Executive coaching for German-speaking Switzerland
Albath Consulting is based in Emmenbrücke in the canton of Lucerne and accompanies executives throughout German-speaking Switzerland — from Lucerne and Zug across Central Switzerland to Zurich, Basel and Bern. As a coach based in Switzerland, I understand the specifics of Swiss leadership culture: consensus orientation, multilingualism and the dynamics of Swiss boards of directors. Coaching takes place in person in Central Switzerland or online.
Why executive coaching in Switzerland is different
Leadership in Switzerland follows its own rules. The pronounced consensus culture, the militia-system mindset and the high value placed on personal responsibility shape how decisions are made and teams are led. Leaders moving into a Swiss role from abroad often underestimate these cultural differences – with costly consequences.
Then there is multilingualism: many Swiss companies operate simultaneously in German, French and English. Leaders must mediate between language regions not only linguistically but culturally. As a coach based in Central Switzerland, I know this dynamic from practice and integrate it consistently into my work.
A further Swiss factor is the role of the board of directors (Verwaltungsrat). Unlike Germany with its dual system of management board and supervisory board, the Swiss board of directors combines strategic oversight and operational proximity more closely. For CEOs this creates a particular field of tension that I address specifically in coaching.
